NaProTECHNOLOGY

NaPro FertilityCare offer a new choice for fertility treatment in Europe.

Natural Procreative Technology (NaProTECHNOLOGY or NaPro) is a new scientific, medical system of procreative health care. It can be used to help couples with infertility, recurrent miscarriage, irregular cycles, PMS or abnormal menstrual bleeding. NaPro has been developed by Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

Dr. Thomas Hilgers in the USA and has been available in Ireland since 1998, when the first Irish Clinic opened in Galway.  Since August 2004 NaPro has been available from the Galway Clinic, Doughiska, Co. Galway, where three doctors now offer treatment.

FertilityCare and marital status

Couples wishing to use FertilityCare for fertility awareness and family planning may do so regardless of marital status. Currently FCCE require couples to be in a married relationship if they wish to avail of fertility treatment using NaProTechnology. This is in keeping with the Ethical Code of the American Academy of FertilityCare Professionals (AAFCP). A statement of this policy is outlined here. The scientific rationale for our policy is to be found in the document Does Marriage Matter? published by www.civitas.org.uk
